This handmade artwork is a collection of stitched heart books created from pages of music set on a background of the song sheet which flows up the sides of the shadow box frame. The heartbook's pages follow the song and vary in size and number of pages. The two main heart books have golden edges.
The piece is a unique work of art and is part of a wider series of works based on literature and maps, inspired by my fascination with museum collections. Each heart book is individually hand cut and stitched.
This artwork would make a wonderful, unique gift with a meaningful, special or favourite song.
