Product description
Archaeolepis (n) - the earliest known ancestor of butterflies and moths
This print is inspired by antiquarian moth collections - taking care to record and preserve everything from giant Death's Head moths to the common peppered moth, this print features over one hundred hand-drawn pencil moths on a textured watercolour ground, with a bright chartreuse border. The design is digitally printed onto a luxurious lightweight silk satin to capture the luminous transparency of their delicate wings.
