Ali's House of String

Ali's House of String cottage industry was born in 2006 whilst Ali recovered from a difficult period of depression. During this time, unable to work she embarked on a period of self discovery, which gave her the opportunity to change the way she lives her life, and the rest as they say is history!

Being a creative person since childhood Ali was delighted when she found she could make a living doing something she loved. Attending local events with her 'therapy born' products gave her the confidence to grow the business. The launch of her website received positive results, and advertising with large magazines has helped her find recognition nationally.

Ali's collection continues to grow as she discovers new crafts and experiments with materials. There is a vast range of hand-crafted Home and Garden accessories and recycled products available and where possible she uses eco-friendly and recycled materials, sourced from local suppliers and merchants, thus helping family businesses continue to trade. Offering a personalised service on most of her products, Ali wants her customers to get something truly individual.

Ali says the darkest days of her depression felt endless and hopes her story will inspire others who have suffered. She now lives happily with her three beautiful cats in a little stone cottage in Lincolnshire, and can enjoy watching the ducks on the River Welland whilst she crafts. Enjoy!
