A lovely wooden 15 hole wine rack .
This is based on a french champagne riddling rack.
Often found deep in wine makers cellars ,where new champagne would be stored on their sides.
This ageing process gives it the texture and complexity of its bouquet.
Riddling racks are critical to this and bottles are inclined at 45 degrees.
The master riddler would put a mark placed on the bottom of each bottle as a reference marker and over the next few weeks on a daily basis ,the riddler would turn the bottle a few degrees ,to settle the yeast and sediment.
It has been handmade in Yorkshire by ourselves exclusively for notonthehighstreet.com.
reclaimed old pine boards with recycled metal fittings and given several coats of wax to bring out its old grain and patina.
It has an hinged top so can be folded away for ease of storage.
