My signs are loved by adults and children alike. They make perfect gifts for a new den, treehouse, studio or garden room.
They are great for birthdays, housewarming presents or wedding presents and create thoughtful Christmas presents for children to give to parents or grandparents.
You can have up to 20 letters and characters on your sign, or for an extra £10, up to 25 letters and characters.
Variations
Every piece of slate is different, making each sign beautifully unique. If you prefer a shabbier look or a smarter look for your sign, just let me know and I'll find you a piece of slate that fits the bill.
I cut the slate by hand, treat it with Danish oil then engrave through the finish, leaving the engraved area in its natural state. As it is engraved, the text won't peel and the sign will last for years outside.
Choose your own words; the name of your house, or perhaps the name of someone's special place e.g. Grandad's Engine Shed or Penny's Palace. I will create your own unique personalised sign. Remember the more letters, the smaller they will be.
Please write in lowercase or uppercase as you would like it to appear.
The signs are finished with a flexible galvanised steel rope which hangs more easily than a solid wire.

The size of my engraved slate signs excluding the hanger is usually around W25 x D10cm.
Made from
I make your sign from natural slate and make the hanger from galvanised steel wire rope.
Each piece of slate is different in texture and may contain small pieces of pyrite (Fool's Gold) which is a naturally occurring mineral in the slate. We only engrave pieces of slate we would be happy to receive ourselves. Being a natural product, no two pieces are the same, making each one truly unique.

Delivery info
Your sign will arrive wrapped in corrugated board and tie it with jute string so it is ready for you to give as a gift, once you have removed the outer packaging, or ready for you to add your own gift wrap or simply tuck in a hand picked flower.
You will usually receive your personalised sign in 5 - 7 days.
Returns
You have 28 days, from receipt of cancellable goods, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Please note: goods that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements, perishable products and personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken are non-refundable, unless faulty.
