As part of the Northern Soul range, Grey Street in Newcastle-upon-Tyne features as the latest design in a series of screen printed fabrics of iconic architecture in northern England. Voted ‘Best Street in the UK’ in 2002 and renowned for its Georgian architecture, Grey Street is part of Grainger Town in Newcastle, built by Richard Grainger in the 1930s.
The print originates from two separate pen and ink drawings of Grey Street, the first featuring the Theatre Royal, the second - Grey's Monument - translated onto 100% cream Irish linen in meadow green, cobalt blue with a warm grey geometric base.
The design is wrapped around the cushion and has a co-ordinating meadow green trim. Fastens with two 38mm covered buttons and measures 47cm by 30cm. Includes a 35cm by 50cm luxurious duck feather cushion pad.
Handwash only. Iron on reverse.
