Hello! We are The Teasmith Spirit Company!

We are Emma and Nick, a husband and wife who established our business in 2015 after we witnessed a renaissance of our favourite spirit and the ever-expanding stories, flavour profiles, serves and garnishes that accompanied it.

Based in Udny, Aberdeenshire, we wanted to add our own mark on the sector and create a gin that was capable of standing out in a crowded market, The Teasmith is inspired by the largely unknown and rich heritage that links the Aberdeenshire area with the tea trade. From ships delivering tea into the bustling Newburgh trading port to famous Tea Clippers being produced by shipbuilders, Aberdeenshire has deep history with the international tea trade.

It was a young man from our home county who planted the very first tea plantation in Sri Lanka. Known as the ‘Father of Ceylon Tea’, James Taylor broke new ground and begun a process that transformed the island into one of the finest tea growing regions in the world.

We were the first Scottish gin to be distilled with tea, and to taste the gin is a very classic, mid-strength juniper, with citrus tones and a sweet finish.

It is best served with a sprig of fresh mint and some premium tonic water (we recommend Fever Tree)
