Unique earrings made from antique pottery shards found on the banks of the Thames in London, with granulated decorations.
These earrings each feature porcelain dots in a pretty floral dotty design, with little balls of silver round the edges in a slightly irregular pattern.
The ear wires are sterling silver and hand made as well.
Light and comfortable to wear, perfect for every day.
There will only ever be one pair of earrings exactly like these, and you or your loved one will be wearing a little piece of history!
The pottery shards in these earrings were found while 'mudlarking' on the banks of the Thames in London. Each piece of pottery is unique, with a story to tell.
Many of the pieces have been rolling around the river bed for at least 100-200 years. Some are even older. I will give the approximate date where possible.
I select the shards carefully, but please note that because of their age, some of the pieces have surface imperfections. I believe this is part of their charm!
All the metalwork is fine (pure) and sterling silver.
Drop with ear wire: approx. 3.7 cm
