Pretty drop earrings made out of gemstones combined with pottery shards found on the banks of the Thames in London.
Beautiful blue kyanite gemstones are combined with crackle pottery shards in these unusual earrings.
One of a kind - each piece of pottery was cleaned, shaped and set into specially made sterling silver frames. The ear wires are hand made in sterling silver.
The silver has been given an subtle aged patina.
These dangle earrings are light and comfortable to wear.
There will only ever be one pair of earrings exacltly like this, and you or your loved one will be wearing a little piece of history!
Silver, gemstone (kyanite) and pottery shards.
The pottery shards were found while 'mudlarking' on the banks of the Thames in London. Each piece of pottery is unique, with a story to tell.
Many of the pieces have been rolling around the river bed for at least 100-200 years. Some are even older. I will give the approximate date where possible.
I select the shards carefully, but please note that because of their age, some of the pieces have surface imperfections. I believe this is part of their charm!
Length - approx. 5.3 cm including the ear wire, 3.8 cm without ear wire
The gemstone is 10mm round
