Unique pendant featuring five pottery shards that were found on the banks of the Thames in London, set in silver with a silver chain
Five tiny red and pink pottery shards make up this pendant. Hard to find colours! (I mostly find blue and white). I have made each of them a custom setting in fine and sterling silver, and arranged them on a silver circle.
It hangs off a diamond cut sterling silver chain.
There will only ever be one pendant like this, and you or your loved one will be wearing a little piece of history!
The pottery shard was found while 'mudlarking' on the banks of the Thames in London. Each piece of pottery is unique, with a story to tell.
Many of the pieces have been rolling around the river bed for at least 100-200 years. Some are even older. I will give the approximate date where possible.
I select the shards carefully, but please note that because of their age, some of the pieces have surface imperfections. I believe this is part of their charm!
All the metalwork is fine (pure) and sterling silver.
The pendant is approx. 3 cm in diameter.
The chain is 46 cm (18 inches) long - if you would like a longer or shorter chain please contact me so I can change it for you.
