After I had my son Lucas I desperately wanted to be the one watching him grow and ticking off all those magical milestones.
I registered as self-employed took a small business course and started designing tattoos. A little after this that I decided to make a novelty cake for my friend. Over the next year or so I honed this craft and earned my living making wedding and celebration cakes and enjoyed this until I fell pregnant and rather sick (again) with Lilypops. I did a few jobs during pregnancy and jumped in to the queue of cake orders I had waiting after she was born, but also started looking for something else to turn my hand to as the cake schedule could be very intense.
I had always been creative and found the outlet / lifeline I needed on Instagram and Sweet Little Tinkers was born. we started out with more decor items and still do our peg bandits and peg of the month as well as customised peg dolls of peoples children, also prints and some blocks but we have branched out and now make blankets featuring my illustrations and are expanding to include ethical childrens wear.
