stitched this is a clothing brand combined with a craft brand to allow clothing personalisation and also the ability to learn a craft along the way.
After buying a cross stitch kit by chance a couple years ago my immediate thought was to stitch it onto a white shirt. Having worked in the fashion industry for 5 years focusing on production and pattern cutting, whilst I had never worked with embroidery I knew my fair share about clothing and after months of research and plenty of samples I finally found a way to be able to get the cross stitch onto the shirt.
After stitching and even more wearing, I came to the conclusion that I mustn't be the only one who would like to wear their stitch. I began creating cross stitch designs and stitching them onto t-shirts which was the start of creating our first kits.
This is only the beginning of stitched this and with the method used we can stitch onto most fabrics, more products for stitching coming soon.
we researched and perfected the method to cross stitch onto clothing so you can wear your stitch.
These kits create the stitching directly onto your t-shirt. no faffing with a patch or getting the right placement on the t-shirt, we've got that covered! the embroidery hoop is already positioned on the shirt so you can start stitching straight away. the method created is to have the end use fabric and the cross stitch fabric ‘aida’ in an embroidery hoop together, stitching through both cloths. then once the stitch is complete fraying all the aida away leaving no trace so that the linear crosses are left on exactly the product or fabric of your choice. so you can wear your finished craft and when someone asks you where it is from you can say i 'stitched this'!
