Big Dipper Constellation Woodblock Print

The Big Dipper, also often called The Plough is more accurately an asterism and makes up part of the constellation Ursa Major. It is an easily recognised and identifiable collection of stars. The woodblock print unframed is just shy of A5 in size, is a deep blue colour and would look beautiful amongst any in any interior style.

The print itself has been hand pulled from a ply woodblock using water soluble midnight blue ink onto Imitation Japanese Vellum in an off-white colour. The woodblock printing technique gives the print a beautiful texture and added depth with each individual print being a unique piece within itself.

The optional text is hand typed using a well loved vintage Imperial 66 typewriter which gives the print an aged, old world feel in its style. Due to the age of the typewriter some of the typed characters do not line up exactly adding to the charm and vintage aged feel of the print.
