Rose and Frank create hand painted wooden cake decorations inspired by seventy years of family tradition.
During the Second World War my grandfather, Frank, sent my mother, Rose, a set of eight cake candle holder dolls. They sat on all her birthday cakes, then on my father Rodney's and later, once we arrived, on all our cakes too!
Of course as the family grew and moved away we needed more and more candle holders. Originally I sat at my kitchen table designing and painting the dolls. Rose painted some too! They became so popular with family and friends that I decided to share the tradition with everyone, so Rose and Frank was created!
