A loose ribbed 90% soft topped alpaca bed sock - just sublime! As soft as cashmere to wear.

These socks might look a bit ordinary and a bit tube like but please do not be put off. Please give them the benefit of the doubt and try them overnight - we have never had a pair back once actually tried. Once you have slept in our alpaca bed socks you will never want to sleep in anything else - they do the job better than any other we have found and last for years if well looked after. Not suitable for severely swollen limbs or people who rock their feet at night.

Alpaca naturally repels bacteria so they can be worn for weeks without the necessity of washing.

Variations

They will be sent with a Perilla pistachio green gift sleeve.

Striclty for bedroom use only - they are not made for padding around the house.

Not suitable for swollen limbs or for those who move their feet at night as they will wear out quickly.

DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO GO UP A SIZE; these socks are very generous.

Dimensions

Please do not be tempted to buy the next size up from your actual size as they slacken up very quickly. The length of sock from the point of heal is 26cm for the medium socks, slightly less for the small and slightly more for the large. How far they come up the leg is dependent on how wide the leg is.

PLEASE NOTE: These socks are not designed for grossly swollen feet and ankles but my own husband wore them over a very swollen post operative leg after a quadruple bypass with plaster, softban and tubi grip and these socks went on easily. He has worn bed socks ever since as he sleeps so much better.

Made from

90% pure alpaca and 10% nylon (to give shape) but no elastane. Made from the 1st shearing from a year/18 month old alpaca. Please note that if you are not used the the "handle" of alpaca it is not a fluffy sort of fibre, more buttery. Like all premium wool fibre alpaca just gets better and better with age.

No elastaine is used in these socks so perfect for those who have an allergic reaction to it. Also perfect for those who prefer not to have a definable cuff to their bed socks.

Care: When you do they need to be either hand washed or preferably done on a wool cycle in the machine 30 degrees C.
