About Us

Helping you on your way to a greener lifestyle

I'm Katrina and I have two young sons that have been the inspiration behind my company.

Peanut and Poppet was built from my love of cloth nappies. I've been using cloth nappies since my youngest son was 2 weeks old and they've become a real hobby of mine! I love to chat (and buy) all things cloth nappies so if you have any questions or need some advice I'd love to hear from you.

One of my main goals is to make cloth nappies as easy and accessible as I can. I hope I can pass on some of my knowledge and experience to you and help you on your way.

Using cloth has really inspired me to make lots of other environmentally conscious changes in my life and I want to provide people with a one stop shop for all their eco-friendly needs.

I believe in providing simple, eco-friendly products and supporting other small businesses and work at home parents/businesses. My aim is to work with lots of wonderful businesses big and small.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ditch the disposables

Did you know?

Every disposable nappy ever used is still sitting on this earth somewhere.

Disposable nappies take up to 500 years to decompose and when they do breakdown they turn in to lots of tiny pieces of plastic (micro-plastics) that contaminate land and water. Every day in the UK alone we throw away 8 million disposables! It's a number so large you can't even begin to imagine it.

Using just one cloth nappy a day saves 365 nappies a year from entering landfill. We've already helped save thousands of nappies from landfill, will you join us in saving some more?

Our aim is to get your dispatched within 1 working day. Monday-Friday are considered working days, weekends and Bank Holidays are not considered working days. At busy times orders may be slightly delayed but we endeavour to keep dispatch times as low as possible.

How will my items be packaged?

Most orders are sent in compostable mailers. Our mailers are fully home compostable so they can go in with the rest of your compost or you can use the extra glue line to reuse the bag for your own post. If an order is too big or contains breakables they will be sent in a responsibly sourced cardboard box. We reuse all possible packaging from suppliers so your order may be sent in a reused cardboard box and/or with reused packing materials. This means that your order may well be packaged with bubble wrap for example but it is always something that we've rescued from landfill and we encourage you to continue the cycle by reusing them for your own needs.

How will my order be shipped?

We currently ship all orders via Royal Mail 2nd class as standard particularly large orders are sent via courier. Overseas orders are sent via Royal Mail International Tracked which has full tracking end to end.
