I was given a set of muslin swaddles whilst pregnant with my son, and honestly had no clue how these extra large muslins were to be used. And even though swaddling wasn't for us (some babies are just too wriggly), it was the most useful item I owned. Those muslins came with me EVERYWHERE.

They doubled as cot sheets, changing mat covers (nobody wants a cold bottom), nursing covers, car window shades, pram blankets, burp cloths, wipes, and were quite often used for a good old fashioned game of peek-a-boo.

But so many of the muslin products I owned ended up feeling a little like sandpaper after a few washes, or they shrunk into an unrecognisable shape. Often the pretty prints felt rough to touch no matter how soft the muslin underneath was.

I couldn't help but feel that an item spending so much of the day draped over me or my baby should have more comfort and joy about it, and so Pattie & Co. was born.
