Welcome to Low Moon Over High Town, a collection of hand drawn designs inspired by music, cinema, football and travel.
My name is Ben Holland and I am an illustrator working from my studio in Newcastle Upon Tyne. I love drawing, always have done. When I realised I was better at it than anything else I began to figure out how to turn it into my day job.
In 2010 I developed my pen and ink style by drawing pubs, barber shops and cafes in my local Newcastle suburb of Heaton (originally known as High Town). All the drawings were night scenes (which is where the "Low Moon" comes in) and soon I had a growing collection of illustrations. I thought I'd try selling prints at a local market. They sold well. Soon I was at the market every weekend with exhibitions and commissions beginning to roll in. The dream of making this a day job was becoming a reality!
In 2016 I began putting together a brand new series of personalised gift prints which I am really proud to launch on Not On The High Street in 2017. Keep checking back for new additions to this ever growing range!
