The Bishnoi Choker is inspired by the Bishnoi tribespeople of Rajasthan. A statement in its own right, this tiny hanging coin choker is a special piece to wear alone, or channel your inner desert rose by layering with some longer pendants.
Bishnoi Choker has been carefully crafted by a small team of marginalised artisans displaced from West Bengal, who have found sustainable livelihoods through their skill in making beautiful pieces like this. They are proudly certified by the World Fair Trade Organisation.
Each piece comes packaged in a soft organic pouch, which has been lovingly made by some of Jaipur’s most vulnerable women, who are betting their lives through the income from the block printing, tassel making and stitching of these very pouches. No two are the same, each one beautiful in its imperfections.
Available in recycled sterling silver and 22ct gold plated recycled silver.
Due to the weight of this piece, it has been hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office ensuring the purity of the metals used.
