Cushioned walking socks knitted in England from British wools sourced directly from farms in Yorkshire, Cumbria and Scotland.
These terrific cushioned walking socks have been knitted from our hard-wearing blend of British wools all sourced directly from flocks in Yorkshire, Cumbria and Scotland. Some of the wool goes on quite a journey from a sheep grazing the hills of the Scottish Highlands to end up as a sock, including an hour long boat ride down one Scotland's sea lochs, hence the name Salted Wool!
These are tough, traditional, good 'old fashioned' walking socks, made for a life outdoors in boots and wellies. They have received 5* reviews from many customers, who describe them variously as 'Incredibly hardwearing', 'the best socks I've worn since childhood', and 'no-nonsense'.
Our socks are knitted from natural, undyed wools sourced from Cumbria and Scotland, spun in West Yorkshire and knitted in Leicestershire.
The socks are available in three practical colours. They are short, calf-length socks, long enough to be folded down, with a cushioned sole, ribbed body and smooth toe seam.
