Vibrant Ripped Paper Artwork

Hello,

I am Jessica Graham. I am an artist and surface pattern designer living in South London.

For the last few years I have been designing repeat patterns for clients in the swimwear, childrenswear and restaurant business and it was one of these clients that asked if I would be able to do a bespoke gift as a Wedding present. It was from this point that I started doing the personalised ripped paper initials.

My artwork usually begins by painting lots of sheets of paper in various colours. The final images are then produced by ripping up this paper and creating collaged pieces. The act of ripping rather than cutting always produces unexpected results, meaning that each image is unique and I always choose dark backgrounds to highlight the ripped paper edge.

I am obsessed with colour and hope that my work brings joy to the recipient!
