It’s easier than you think to reduce the amount of plastic you use. At HNDMD, we produce safe, easy-to-use and stylish alternatives to plastic wrapping. Our handmade beeswax food wraps are an environmentally-friendly replacement for cling film and tinfoil that can be washed and reused time and time again.
With most plastic being used only once, and so little actually being recycled, HNDMD champions the small sustainable differences we can all make, believing every effort has an impact.
Founder, Marisa Tait, began HNDMD as a personal quest to minimise her family’s plastic use and to avoid packaging where possible. Marisa made feasible changes to her lifestyle by creating her own reusable, eco-friendly food wraps in contemporary modern patterns and colours.
As friends and family embraced the idea, the demand for the handmade, sustainable alternatives grew, and HNDMD was launched.
HNDMD also creates pretty hair accessories from fabric remnants otherwise destined for the bin.

A family run business believing that each small change towards a more sustainable lifestyle is a step towards a healthier planet.
Beeswax wraps are a great, natural way to store your food, both in your home and on the go. We offer different sizes to cater for lunch, leftovers and snacks. The wax coated fabric pieces, created with responsibly sourced fabric, simply fold and form around your food, providing the same long lasting freshness as single use, non-biodegradable wrapping.
After use, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth and store for next time. With careful use, each wrap should last approximately 3-6 months. You can even prolong a wrap’s life and ‘reset’ it yourself in the oven once it becomes a little tired (instructions included with purchase).
Our eco-friendly bobbles are a pretty addition to any girl's hair styling kit. We are proud that we use fabric scraps which would otherwise be lost in landfill to create them, and this is another way to start living a more sustainable life.

When you ask us to gift wrap a present, we will use recycled paper and a cardboard gift tag to hand write your message, in-line with our eco values.
