A stunning classic style fluted mirror with Georgian architectural lines and hand painted in Farrow and Ball Whimbourne white.
This mirror has been handmade and hand painted in Wiltshire, England. The classic fluted edge adds a clasic look to this mirror. The frame is solid wood with plaster detail and has corner edging with a scalloped detail to enhance the decorative nature of the piece.
This mirror can be hung portrait or landscape and will look stunning in any room adding light and space.
This mirror is available in gold and in a white shabby chic finish.
This stunning piece has been hand painted using only the finest quality English paints and waxes. To highlight the intricate plasterwork I have lightly distressed the Farrow and Ball paint to reveal tints of the gilded frame beneath. Finally using only the best quality English furniture waxes I have hand waxed and polished the frame to create an authentic vintage look.
The finishes that I have used have been learnt by myself over many years of practise working for one of England’s top mirror makers, based in the historic city of Bath, creating and designing mirrors with expert care and attention.
The mirror itself is top quality Pilkington’s glass which is renowned for being the best type of mirror you can buy. The board that holds it in place is high quality hardboard which is taped in with Framers tape and brads are fired by hand to hold the board securely in place.
The frame is a solid wood superstructure with some areas being carved wood and the more decorative sections are made of plaster and plaster composite.
The mirror internally measures 40.6cm x 30.5cm, with the frame it measures 45.7cm x 35.6cm
