Semi Abstract Landscape Paintings

Based in Buckinghamshire I paint from my garden studio. Inspired by the landscape and memories of past places. I build several layers of paint, without a plan or colour palette. Working with an expressive approach has energised a new phase of work, creating colourful, abstract designs.

Working on multiple paintings at once helps to keep the momentum with bolder moves and a fear free attitude. This allows me to respond to previous mark-making keeping it fresh and reactive.
