Handmade with love

Hello, my name is Alison Capeling and I started my business Clara in 2012. I am lucky enough to live in the beautiful county of Cornwall along with my partner Chris and my family. I have two beautiful granddaughters, Amalie and Matilda, both 2years old. They are the light of my life and since they came into our lives they have been my inspiration. I love taking photos of our two little angels having fun in the garden unknowingly modelling a new Clara item.

Not long after I started my business, Clara, I was unfortunately diagnosed with breast cancer and so the business had to take a bit of a back seat but like so many women in my situation I was determined to get through it with a positive heart, that was five years ago now and I’m still being creative and loving life.

My ethos: I want your order to be special to you. I make all my designs with care and consideration in beautiful quality fabrics, they are tried and tested by my two little helpers and friends children. I hope you love them as much as we do.
