Claire La Secrétaire is a vintage typewriter restoration and customisation studio, run by Annelise Atkinson with a little help from trusty assistants from time to time.
Inspired by the Royal Quiet Deluxe powder pink typewriter of the 1950s, she reconditions typewriters in gorgeous pastels, pinks and quirky patterns, and restores them to usable condition.
Designed to inspire you to write more, or as a wonderful wedding reception guest book idea, these typewriters have been sold around the world and have appeared in magazines such as Elle, V & OAK, and Homes and Gardens.
The range is colourful typewriters, bicycle bells, and also prints and cards of the typewriters at their best.

Contact me and I will ask UPS for a search request. A search request can only be processed if the estimated time has already been exceeded by two weeks. In case the typewriter is considered lost, I will make a total refund.
What if: a typewriter is significantly not as described
I try to give the best description possible and put much effort on the quality of my photos. But if you think I missed a significant flaw, please contact me with some proof and we will work it out. If the colour is slightly different to expected it could be down to monitor settings and a refund cannot be given. A swatch is available on request before orderding.
What if the paintwork has a chip or comes off?
The typewriter paintwork won't come off unless you scratch it or knock it with force. Paint is not immune to scratching or chipping in any circumstance, each typewriter is tested before sent out, and the paint used does not chip off simply due to use. These typewriters are designed to be used, but it is your responsibility to make sure the paintwork is not subjected to anything that might scrape or damage it. If you find paintwork has chipped, you can request that it is returned to be fixed, but this is down to my descretion and is on a case by case basis. You can also request touch-up paint.
