Cerulean Press is a small print and design studio created by Cayce Eastwood. I began my journey as a letterpress printer in 2008 when, disillusioned with my boring office job and inspired by all of the gorgeous letterpress stationery I was seeing while wedding planning, I took an introductory letterpress class at the San Francisco Center for the Book. It was love at first print and I soon bought my first press and started practicing. It took a transatlantic move in 2010 before I was able to start my very own letterpress studio.
I specialise in personalised stationery, wedding invitations and greeting cards. All of my stationery is designed by me and printed by hand in my small garden studio in south London on a 120 year old letterpress. The printing process creates an impression in the paper which is a unique tactile experience and really sets these cards apart from modern flat printed stationery.
All of my stationery is made using environmentally friendly principles, including 100% cotton paper made from clothing industry waste, envelopes made with FSC accredited paper and linseed oil-based printing ink. In addition, all of my machines are human-powered!
