Award willing illustrator bringing wonderful characters into everyday life.

I am an artist and children's author/illustrator. I have now written over 20 books for children and illustrated many more for other well-known authors including Julia Donaldson and Michael Morpurgo.

I studied Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art and fell in love with the city so I still live there with my husband, two sons and a small menagerie of animals, including my latest addition - a sausage dog called Otto. I have always been fascinated by animals and am continuously inspired by the creatures surrounding me.

I developed my illustrated card range over the years from my most popular artworks and in 2021 I fulfilled a long held dream to design and produce a range of illustrated baby clothing, centred around storytelling. I love meeting little readers and as often as possible, I can be found visiting libraries, schools and book festivals to talk about children’s literature, and to encourage and inspire children to draw, read and write.
