Handmade sterling silver stud earrings textured with a pressed leaf imprint.
The way I make these delicate sterling silver leaf earrings ensures that each pair is unique. The pattern, which is rolled into the silver, comes from a pressed leaf. I then cut each leaf out by hand and polish the edges before attaching sterling silver posts to the back.
I bring out the pattern, imprinted by the fibrous leaf veins, by patinating the silver. The intricate detail that emerges is truly beautiful. Each leaf is then lightly hammered so that the edge of the silver lifts up, giving the form a delicate lightness.
These earrings are made from 925 Sterling Silver that is sourced from a reputable supplier in the UK. The earrings are secured by sterling silver butterfly / scroll push closures.
Silver jewellery will naturally tarnish. An impregnated silver cleaning cloth will remove the tarnish from silver. Rub lightly over the leaves so that you only polish the top surface, in this way, the patinated silver in the leaf texture will remain dark.
Each pair of earrings is handmade in my studio that sits at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds here in England and will be packaged up in a gift box, tied with a ribbon, ready to give to yourself or someone else.
Each pair of leaf earrings are unique. The leaf stud will measure approximately 1cm long.
