Our parenthood poem print is a unique gift for new parents, expecting parents, or simply fantastic parents. Whether for a birth, a christening, or an emotional thank you to Mum and Dad, they'll love having this print on their wall.
The A4 print comes unframed but we would be happy to frame it for you (see drop down menu).
Written by award-winning Bespoke Verse poet Joanna Miller who is a mum of three, this poem began life as a gift for a pregnant friend. The design is by Tim Furr.
Whether it's a dollop of devotion or a tablespoon of challenge, every parent can identify with these very real ingredients!
You can add a short personalised message at the bottom of the print for an extra fee - see image for an example.
Variations
The colour choice is: grey, pink, blue, green or vintage style (black on brown card.)
The text reads:
A Recipe for Parenthood
A dollop of devotion
A dash of dedication
A smattering of sleepless nights
And a drop of education.
A tablespoon of challenge
A teaspoon of affection
A pinch or two of worry
And a drizzle of protection.
A grain or two of patience

Dimensions
The A4 print is H29 x W21cm and when framed with our white frames measures: H34.5 x W25.7 x D1.3cm. Framed with black frame measures: H31 x W23 x 1cm.
Made from
The poem is printed onto the highest quality GF Smith A4 card (330gsm) using Dura-Bright waterproof ink. Unframed prints are sent out in super-stiff envelopes.
The lightweight wooden frames are either Smooth Flat White, Stepped Grained White or Slim Black (Vintage Style only.)
Each frame has a hook for wall hanging. The front is perspex. There is no mount around the print.
Each frame is hand-finished in the UK by Fine Art Trade Guild commended framers. The framed product is dispatched in a purpose-made cardboard wrap.
