Inspired by myths of the Amazon Rainforest, Capuchin Silk captures the devious Capuchin Monkeys who lead lost souls deep into the jungle with enticing fruit, and use ropes to set evil traps. The pinkish-purple background blends into a light then darker grey. Fronds and flora wind their way through the silk. Inspired by the traditions of textile design, as well as modern techniques, the illustration is skillfully hand-painted, collaged and digitally printed onto fine crepe de chine silk.
