The Alex James Experience is definitely rock 'n' roll cheese! These fabulous cheeses have been painstakingly developed by the Evenlode Partnership; Blur bassist Alex James and the UK's 1st Lady of cheese, Juliet harbutt - if anyone knows how to make a great cheese, it's Juliet!
115g Evenlode No.1 Little Wallop Goat Cheese: The first cheese from the Partnership. Washed in Temperley Somerset Cider Brandy and wrapped in vine leaves, Little Wallop develops a medley of moulds and complex flavours; a bit nutty when young (aren't we all?), becoming silky, subtle and brandy scented with age - a serious cheese from the lady who knows... Approx 7cm wide x 3cm high.
115g Evenlode No. 2 Farleigh Wallop Goat Cheese: The second member of the Wallop family from the Partnership. Farleigh Wallop is snow-white to the centre with sprigs of fresh thyme pressed into the soft velvet-like crust. Initially dense but creamy with a hint of mushrooms, gradually softening to unveil the aromatic character of the milk - another connoisseur quality cheese from the lady who knows...Approx 7cm wide x 3cm high
170g Evenlode No. 7 Blue Monday Cows Cheese - New from the Partnership; Blue Monday (named after the song) is softer and creamier than most blues. Ivory white with purple blue streaks, steely yet faintly sweet and hints of dark chocolate and spices on the finish - a brilliant, multi-award winning blue. Approx 9cm long x 7cm wide.
To compliment and further enhance your enjoyment of these very fine handmade cheeses we have included some soft and fresh Apple Pickle, 190g, perfect with Goats Cheeses; and some Lime and Chilli puree, a sweet partner for blue cheese, 113g.
Supplied in a specialist food box, with insulating and protective liner, crinkle-cut raffia paper in light green and dry ice - 100% recyclable.
