Cotswold pie heaven - a selection of Cotswold handmade pies.
Made by local artisan Miles Salmon of the Cotswold Pudding & Pie Company in Winchcmbe, near Cheltenham. Miles only uses locally sourced ingredients and local free-range livestock for his creations - he's very passionate about his pies!
Please note - by law Miles can only give his pies a 5 day shelf life from the day he makes them. I receive them on Wednesday afternoons, and would dispatch on Thursday for delivery on Friday. By then the pies will have 3 days life left; being so fresh they keep beyond this date and they freeze very well too.
This collection includes:
Two traditional picnic pork pies: Hand-raised free range Gloucester Old Spot pork pies in a crumbly pastry. Approx 190 grams, 4.5cm high, by 9cm wide
Two stilton-topped picnic pork pies: the same great Old Spot pork filling, but finished with a generous topping of Colston Bassett Stilton. Approx 190 grams, 4.5cm high, by 9cm wide
One medium game pie: Are you ready for this? Wild Boar (very brave), Pheasant (not so brave), Venison and Partridge from local Cotswold Estates, tightly packed into that crumbly pastry. Just fabulous! Approx 450g, 6.5cm high, 11cm wide
One large chicken and ham pie: a big pie, ideal for entertaining, easily enough for 6-8 people. Tightly packed free-range chicken and ham pie with a hint of orange zest and sage to give the pie a lift. A very popular pie that will easily cut in half or quarters for freezing if it proves too much! Approx 1.36kg, 6.5cm high, 23cm wide
The pies come in producer's own wrap, with description, ingredients and date listings.
Supplied in a specialist food box, with insulating and protective liner, with crinkle-cut raffia paper in light green and dry ice - all 100% recyclable.
Please note these pies are made to order. Please try and order by Friday for delivery the following Friday. If you have a large requirement it may be possible to arrange a special delivery, please contact us if this is the case.

Christopher replied to my query within a couple of hours with kind and helpful suggestions for my Dad's birthday hamper. He also agreed to change some of the pies in the order, which has now been delivered. We got loads of pies for our money, they are fantastic quality and my Dad is delighted! I wish that all my internet shopping experiences were as good as my dealings with Wychwood Deli. Highly recommended.
