A Tweet Towel is a tea towel with a personal miniature message embroidered onto it. A cross-stitched speech bubble in the bottom right hand corner of the towel will display your message, up to 140 characters and written in the style of a Tweet.
The Tweet Towel is a mash up of traditional crafts and digital communication. For those less tech-savvy, a tweet is a 140 character message that you can send via the website Twitter. And a tea towel is... well you probably know what they are. Make one for yourself, make one for your mates or make one for your favourite old dear to introduce them to the joys of all things webby. How to create a Tweet Towel:
For: This is where you write the name of the person you are creating a Tweet Towel for. You don't have to fill this in if you don't want a name to appear. Any name you include in this field will be pre-fixed with an @ symbol to make it as Twittery as possible. The @ symbol will be grey and the name in blue.
Your message: This is where you write your message. Please note that the maximum character limit for a Tweet Towel is 140 characters, including the 'For' field. 15 characters have been allowed for the 'For' field so there are 125 characters remaining for the message. All copy in this field will appear in grey.
Date: Just like on Twitter, your Tweet Towel states the time and date your message was sent. Your message can be on any date you like. Select the day of the month here. Maybe it could be the date of birth of the person you are creating one for, or if it's a Christmas gift, select 25 December.
Month: Select the month here.
Hour: Select the hour here. Note that the format is 24 hour.
Minutes: Select the minutes here.
From: This is where you put your name if you want it to appear on your gift. If you want to make it even more Twittery, include an @ symbol at the beginning of your name. Maximum character limit is 30.
The tea towel is 42 X 60 cm and made from absorbent white woven cotton. There is a diagonal hanging hook on the reverse corner, satin taffeta label and it's packaged in an A4 gift box with clear panel to view the personal messages.
Made in Turkey and embroidered in the UK. All packaging is 100% recyclable. Machine wash at 40 degrees max. Do not tumbledry.

Some of the stiching looks a little loose, but I can't properly tell yet as it's for a Christmas present and I didn't want to take it out of the envelope.

Really nicely stitched but I wish the tea towel had been of a thicker cotton material. But otherwise the personalized and detailing was fantastic!
