Fabulously rustic cup for red wine. Buy a set of six, and a carafe to decant the bottle into. And relax...
One of Tom's best-selling pieces. A unique cup for red wine, mulled wine, whisky, tea ... or milk!
These stoneware wine cups are made from recycled or reclaimed clay. The waste, off cuts and scraps from making other pieces in the range are soaked and turned into casting slip. Stoneware is sustainable resource: it is exceptionally tough and will outlast earthenware pots many times over. This durability results in lesser consumption of natural resources, both in terms of raw materials and firing.
A perfect gift for the environmentally friendly amongst us.
Reduction fired stoneware with a food safe oatmeal glaze. Dishwasher safe.
Part of the Loch Long Stoneware range of functional rustic tableware, handmade by Tom Butcher in Scotland. Due to the hand made nature of these pieces and the reduction firing process, both glaze and body may alter in colour slightly depending on where they are positioned in the kiln. Items may vary slightly from those shown, but this only adds to the charm.
The oatmeal glaze used is food safe. Crackles within the glaze may appear after use with sred wine – this is a natural feature of this glaze and does not affect its porosity.
