One of a series of urban picnic blankets - London's Hyde Park.
Freehand embroidered illustrated on a gorgeous recycled wool blanket. The rug is backed with dark green waterproof fabric so really perfect for the English weather.
I've illustrated what really says Hyde Park to me - views of The Albert Memorial, The Royal Albert Hall and of course some pigeons!
A truly unique handmade piece that would look just as well hung on a wall - the work was done with no pre- drawing on the fabric - all the stitching was worked by 'drawing' with the sewing machine needle by myself and so could ever be repeated.
