Representing those who joined the struggle to achieve equality in the voting system, this outfit as well as being fun and pretty to wear, gently introduces the idea of historical events that formed society today. The white cotton dress matches the large brimmed hat both set off by the WSPU’s colours of purple, white and green. Appeals to both those girlie girls because it is attractive but perhaps also to those mothers who recognise the struggle many women have experienced!
