A striking and contemporary top-quality world wall map.
These maps utilise a cylindrical equal area projection (Don't switch off!) which represents countries in their correct proportional size, something that a lot of maps do not do. It achieves this by sacrificing shape, particularly in the areas closest to the poles. The result is an alternative and thought-provoking vision of our planet.
At 196 x100cm this is the biggest single sheet size available in The World! This scale, combined with our high-quality print and finish will create a big impact in any interior setting.
Colour: Colour is graded through countries and continents to remove the abrupt border lines of more traditional designs.
Printing: The map is litho-printed on to a coated, silk finish paper with special colours, including silver metallic for the seas. The print is finished with a sealer to protect the inks and a gloss UV varnish applied to the landmasses for contrast.
Details: Country boundaries, capital and major cities, rivers, highest peaks, sea depths, north/south pole projections and a shaded physical relief layer.

Available Formats
Paper Tubed: The map comes as an art-quality print, ready for framing or pinning/tacking to a wall. Colour Maps have distinctive packaging that both presents and protects.
Plastic Tubed: We encapsulate this map in a gloss plastic, to give a durable write-on/wipe-off finish.
Magnetised Tubed: This map is encapsulated in plastic, as above, then mounted on flexible sheet metal, to givea safe, durable, write-on/wipe-off surface to which magnets will cling. It is easily fixed to the wall using a supplied set of coverhead screws and raw plugs. The map has eyelits in each corner which the screw fits through and is covered with the white head. Supplied with the map are 50 stainless-steel magnetic balls to mark places of interest, and 10 stronger stainless-steel magnetic cylinders, allowing you to use your map as a notice board.
Framed: We frame our maps without glass, allowing the quality of the print to remain. The metallic nature of the seas and the gloss-varnished landmasses add great surface finishes to the map which light plays off well. The maps are all printed with a sealer that protects the inks, allowing your map to be gently wiped down with a cloth.

The surface has a write-on/wipe-off finish on which non-permanent or dry-wipe pens may be used.
