The Big Cheese Making Kit is a simple, fun introduction to cheese making.
Kit contains: Easy to follow step by step instructions and guide, citric acid, organic sea salt, vegetarian rennet, butter muslin and dairy thermometer.
All you need at home is a big pan and a colander, everything else is included in the kit, just add milk.
The kit contains enough ingredients to make 12 batches. Each batch is around 2lbs. 24lbs is a lot of cheese!
There are no perishable ingredients in the kit so you can buy it and give it as a gift at a later date.

The process of making Scottish Crowdie only takes around an hour from start to finish. Each kit makes 12 batches and each batch is around 900g.
Said to be Scotland’s most ancient cheese, Crowdie dates back as far as Viking and Pictish times when it was made by every crofter in the Highlands of Scotland.
The more traditional method for making Crowdie in those days would be to slowly warm a bucket of milk (straight from the cow) by the fire until it soured and curdled. We think you might enjoy our method instead!
