Mosaic cows have been added to plates and platters. Each cow is carefully made from patterned pieces of china before being placed on a vintage circular or oval plate. Victorian shards of ceramic have been incorporated into the mosaic.
The cow on the Booths 'Netherlands' plate incorporates Victorian shards, spongeware and a beady eye. The platters are both by Alfred Meakin - one with a design featuring carnations and the other orange/yellow tulips.
Each would look good on a dresser or shelf with other patterned china or hung on a dining room wall.
These plates and platters are for decorative purposes and cannot be submerged in water. To clean, polish with vinegar on a cloth.
The Booths plate is 25cm in diameter, the Alfred Meakin carnation platter is 31cm x 26cm and the Alfred Meakin tulip platter is 29cm x 23.5cm. The mosaic cow is approximately 9.5cm wide and 7cm tall.
These plates are quite heavy so a traditional adhesive plate hanger is provided for wall hanging.
For gift wrapping requests the plate will be wrapped up in colourful tissue paper and tied with a ribbon.
