After having made a textured mould, white porcelain is pressed into it by hand and then refined to a delicate finish. Each shell is manipulated to form an unique and beautiful piece. A clear gloss glaze is applied to the inside.
The candle light will flicker through the porcelain which has become semi translucent after been fired to a temperature of 1260 degrees, casting shadows from the texture.
