Studio 54: 1970s jumpsuit by Silk & Sawdust

Thumb_studio_54_1970s_jumpsuit_by_silk_sawdust_1

Beginning life as a polyester jumpsuit found at a North London market stall, with a fantastic shape in not-so-fantastic fabric, Studio 54 comes in crisp linen, with soft flowers and a gently flared leg to give a strong yet feminine feel. Altogether more classy!

Details: Linen. Cool hand or machine wash.

A little history: some people are a little nervous about the jumpsuit, but we say ‘what’s not to love?’. First conceived for parachutists as a lightweight version of the boiler suit, later worn by land girls and female munitions workers during the Second-World War… it’s not the burnt bra, it’s the jumpsuit that should be held up as the uniform of sexual revolution! Fling yours on and stand up for your fashion rights!
