Made in Britain
Cable Coffee Table - made from a reclaimed wooden industrial cable reel and sleek contemporary steel.
Take a reclaimed industrial cable reel, sympathetically sand to enchance the natural character and tactile quality of its wood and combine with a sleek steel frame to make a coffee table with the wow factor.
The recycled wooden top is available in a range of finishes - beeswax, limewax or clear varnish - with each highlighting the visually interesting woodgrain while providing a protective wipe-clean coating against any unexpected spills.
In its 'industrial-style' raw state, the mild steel frame offsets the top with a knowing modernist vibe. The frame can also be further funked up for maximum impact with a range of powder coat finishes to add some colour to the mix - perfect for the outdoor version.
Each Cable Coffee Table is a one-off, made to order in the Salvation Furniture workshop.
A variety of finishes are available for the wooden top: limewax, beeswax or varnish, each bringing out the character and grain of the wood.
Similarly, the steel frame can be supplied with its raw, industrial-style finish intact (protected by a waterproof coating) or can be enlivened with a wide choice of powder-coated colours.
Recycled wood and British steel, all of it sourced close to our Suffolk coast workshop where we make our furniture by hand.
Please note that we offer preliminary lead times for delivery, but due to the nature of the making process (every item is made from scratch using reclaimed wood), these may vary slightly. We will always update you on this, should the lead-in time be shortened or lengthened.
(Please be aware that old wood does have some cracks, knocks and bumps! We think it all adds to the character. But if you want 'perfection', perhaps you should head over to a furniture warehouse instead!)
Our cable tables are all 35cm high, but we offer various different diameters, starting at the cute 70cm version. See the drop down menu for details of larger sizes. Please note the largest size (120cm diameter) can be quite heavy, and will require two people for lifting.
