Ruth Abela

Ruth Abela designs and produces specialised sports bags that cater for yoga, pilates and other sports.

Having practised yoga for some time, Ruth Abela drew on her creative ability to create a unique design that allowed her to carry all accessories required to undertake these sport and exercise activities. She designed and manufactured a bag that could hold a yoga mat, with the storage facility for the block, towel, T-shirt and water bottle. It also offers adequate space for toiletries and loose change.

Each bag is user-friendly, with various methods of holding the bag whether it is across the body or over the shoulder, by hand horizontally and also vertically. There is also a pocket on the outside of the bag to hold a travel pass and set of keys.

The bag has been created so that a practitioner only needs to carry one bag. Being stylish as well as functional, this bag can be used after class for the rest of the day rather than leaving it behind.

This bag was created to cater for yoga and pilates equipment, however it has also been used for other sports.
