Rush Matters

Rush Matters specialises in making all things beautiful from English rush.

All of our work is made from English Bulrush, which we harvest ourselves from the rivers of East Anglia during the summer. Once cut, the rush is then dried entirely naturally in the sun. The light plays a huge part in determining the final colour of the rush. Windy, overcast days allow the rush to retain green, blue tones while sunny, hot weather creates warm, honey sometimes pink hues.

Each piece from Rush Matters has a wonderful, spicy scent from the natural scent of the rush we use.

We are the only company to complete the entire process of harvesting the rush to creating stunning but practical pieces for your interior.

Log baskets, shopping bags, floor matting and tablemats are hand woven and hand sewn by the small team in our workshop.
