THIS IS A PERFECT GIFT FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL - it makes a lovely present for a birth or christening, wedding or anniversary (the first anniversary is traditionally represented by paper), a new home or for any lover of books! EACH PIECE COMES WITH A SPECIAL GIFT CARD AND CAN BE GIFT WRAPPED ON REQUEST.
The little paper stars are cut from unwanted vintage books of romantic poetry and music and stitched into strings. They are then mounted on white card within a surface-mounted antique white paper.
DIMENSIONS OF FRAME 25.5 cm square and 4.5 cm deep. It is glazed with 2 mm perspex to protect the paper and sent to you in a specially made protective box. The work is signed on the back. It can be hung or stood on a surface or mantlepiece.
The frame is available in white or black.
TO PERSONALISE THIS WORK :
OPTION1:
EITHER include a piece of text which will be printed centrally underneath the strings of stars such as names and dates of an event such as a wedding, anniversary, christening etc. JUST CHOOSE Text under stars AND TYPE YOUR TEXT INTO THE BOX PROVIDED. The text can be two font sizes, 10 point for a longish quotation and 18 point for a short piece of text such as names and dates of an event.
e.g. Ellie & Jonathan 23rd November 2011 (18 point) or To celebrate the wedding of Ellie & Jonathan on 23rd November, 2011 (10 point)
or Amelie Jane Robinson 21st May 2011 (18 point) or To celebrate the birth of Amelie Jane Robinson, born 21st may 2011 (10 point)
OPTION 2:
FOR A MORE SUBTLE PERSONALISED PIECE, I can hide names and dates within the strings of stars! SEE IMAGES.
FOR THIS CHOOSE Text on stars OPTION. You can have two or three stars personalised, just give me NAMES AND DATES of a special event (as you would like them to appear) and I will print them repeatedly onto book paper (in order to echo the the poetry and music stars) and stitch them in with the others so that they are not immediately obvious but a subtle little message to the receiver of this gift!
