'Keep Calm & Carry On' was the third in a series of posters designed by the Ministry of Information to boost the morale of the nation in WWII.
As this particular poster was intended for issue if Britain came under invasion, it was never officially seen by the public and only appeared on a few office walls.
Most were destroyed after the war and it languished forgotten for 70 years until a folded copy was found in a dusty old book.
The appeal of this iconic phrase continues to endure, now appearing in many forms, but we particularly love this weighty book end which will sit proudly on any shelf.
In a warm cream with black typeface and broken brick effect, use it to prop up your books or simply as decoration. You could even be use it as a door stop - just don't stub your toe!
