This product is available for gold leaf personalisation with the name or initials of a friend or loved one. You can have up to six letters on the pot lid. Please fill in the personalisation box with upper case letters only.
We will then apply your chosen letters to the pot lid in 20-carat gold leaf, after which we make the letters permanent by firing them to a temperature of 650 degrees Centigrade.
Each porcelain pot is about 10cm (4 inches) across and contains 75g (two and a half ounces) of shaving soap. Each pot comes packed in a navy blue box and has a blue felt base (not shown) to protect precious furniture.
When empty, you can use the pot as a trinket box.
The lid features a quotation from the satirical magazine Punch dated 1843, poking fun at a real preparation called Professor Holloway’s Universal Ointment.
Our product contains sandalwood shaving soap, not universal ointment! Do not rely on it as a cure for the King's Evil. Do not attempt to fry fish in it.
