Thank you for your positive review - we are pleased that you liked the blanket. All our blankets and the cotton bags in which we send them are produced using natural methods. The natural dyes used for the blanket and the unbleached cotton bags can leave a mild residual smell. However, we would like to reassure you that this disappears very quickly once the product is taken out of the packaging. Thanks, Sheba

the blanket was beautifully soft and very delicate. However I was very disappointed that the blanket and the cover in which it came smelt horrible! It smelt musty and as it was a gift I washed the cover which did improve the odour bur sadly not completely.
