  Wasn't the design that I ordered or the spelling that I had put to put on the book. Ended up couldnt give it as a present because of this.

The notebook has been freehand machine embroidered which basically draws the writing onto the notebook, and resembles handwriting. This type of embroidery is different to computer based embroidery showing satin stitched writing. The applique is raw edge applique with the edges meant to slightly lift to give the notebook a rustic feel. We want to be happy with your purchase.   When it arrived I was disappointed with the quality.

We have taken your comments on board and are looking at ways to improve our offer. I hope the following will help you understand the thought, quality of material and work that has gone into the creation of the notebook. The notebook covers are made from genuine vintage linen that is up to 100 years old and will last another few generations. Each design is hand cut and individually appliquéd onto the linen. The personalised message is freehand embroidered which is almost like handwriting with the needle. This method cannot be compared with computerised machine embroidery, where you type in the text into the computer and let the machine do the work. The soft cover notebook is made from recycled, ellie poo paper which is not only environmentally friendly but also helps Elephant conversation. Although the item is personalised, you are more than welcome to a full refund if required.   Personalised cover is good and was very much appreciated by the recipient. Quality of the notebook inside is not good, and is more in line with a £1 gift than a £20 gift.

  Item as expected based on the website images and description, and I know the recipients will be delighted with their gifts (I ordered two). I felt the notebook was overpriced though, which is why I haven't given it an 'excellent'.

  I have not yet seen this gift, as I ordered it for father's day, and we live abroad. It arrived quickly. I requested the gift wrapped option, and together with the personalised message on the front, my dad is absolutely over the moon with it.
